You can try scattering treats on the stairs that can be discovered over time. It may help them get comfortable interacting with them.

Good morning #dogsofbluesky ! #throwbackthursday to last fall when Gertrude discovered an errant rose on a walk.

Thanks! We are well used to it, it's often even colder, but Spring fever is real!

So happy! Gertrude is jealous! Nothing that green & growing here yet. We're are supposed to have lows in the teens (Fahrenheit ) next week🫣

Gertrude & I had a discussion & decided that if the time rules changed for the greater good we would support that. But until that day, we are going to enjoy having more time to share together in the evenings!

Oh no! The controversy! Our house supports DST 🫣 Scheduling doesn't allow much flexibility in the mornings, but more light in the evening gives us more time for walkies in the park & gardening!

Tomatoes were our gateway to revisiting gardening during the pandemic. Nowadays it's tomatoes, cucumbers, herbs, peppers, a flower cutting garden & anything else that catches our eye!

He really loved being a model. For a short while we dabbled in dog hats 🤣 He reveled in the attention.

Definitely! I'm not able to enjoy the garden if we get too caught up in rules & structure, but last year it became a jungle that swallowed up my tomato plants & I just can't have that. Garden tomatoes are essential to my summer happy

We have a large bunch of turkeys in our neighborhood. They love to sit on the roof of the house across the street. I can't imagine what it sounds like inside!

Sometimes Gertrude looks like Harpo Marx after she is out in weather!

She needs to get organized instead of just trying to "remember" what she already has😆

Last year the plan we came up with was "Chaos Reigns", this year our theme needs to be "don't over plant" 🐾

Gertrude is looking at catalogs & making plans for our garden! She needs to exercise some self control because we already have lots of seeds, but the idea of more is so seductive. #dogsofbluesky #gardening

Gertrude & I will try to post more often now. She has been such a good & patient pup as we concentrated on hospice care for my beloved Japanese Chin. After 17 years we said goodbye to our sweet boy last week. Hearts are broken, but he only ever brought joy and we need to honor that. #dogsofbluesky

Thank you so much for thinking about us. It means alot. We had a very chaotic holiday season & have spent the last 2 months doing hospice care for my other pup who passed last week. Gertrude has been very patient, but is ready for more activity so we will start posting again soon🐾

Good Morning #dogsofbluesky Gertrude selected a #throwbackthursday from a community garden we walked through awhile back. Each bed was unique so it was quite interesting to explore. It's starting to get chilly here so it's nice to remember a warmer day!
