If I were to poll people in my local ttrpg association/club today, I am pretty sure D&D 5e would be ranked similarly. People with a wider awareness of the hobby still tend to prefer other games over D&D, no?

Why do I have to pretend that I'm going to print something in order to save it as a PDF. Why do I have to engage in a little ruse.

Obviously, the tech could work surprisingly well. All you have to do is to remove Big Tech from the equation.

Instead of a portrait aging, the protagonist owns a neurolinked robot that takes on all the "unproductive" impulses he has. So the robot is watching Netflix, or swiping social media, while the owner focuses all their energy on producing things.
