Something that differs in my head canon of MSQ is that Saphyra does not come out of most fights unscathed. Her first big battle was with Ifrit & even with my other WoL, Marina, by her side they both barely survived the encounter.
I know there's a handful of times (01 of 03)

combat. Still she was happy to have him on her side. He also aided her in getting her brother, Silas, together with Artoirel.
Whenever Saph is visiting Fortemps manor she always makes it point to greet Em & have conversation with him. He usually does most of the talking.

I've had Pokemon on the brain lately so this was fun. I've always pictured her with Meowstic and Esepon (Espeon closest thing to her amethyst carbuncle). She does have both variants of Meowstic and uses them interchangeably.

Espeon and both variants of Meowstic would be Saphyra's chosen Pokemon.

Saphyra got vulpix! This actually works because if she were to have a team of Pokemon one of them would be Alolan Ninetails so she'd have Vulpix (Alolan) to start.
