Today, February 23 is anniversary of Flaco’s death. At impromptu memorial the following day, children left sweet letters & pictures at one of his favorite Central Park trees. The Eurasian eagle owl made lasting impression on so many New Yorkers, photographers, painters, birdwatchers worldwide #Flaco

Maggie O’Farrell at Rizzoli Bookstore today — said she was intent on Paul Mescal playing William Shakespeare, that filmmaker Chloe Zhao ‘has the most extraordinary memory…and is really good at externalizing what characters are feeling.’ And the author did decline a cameo.

Reliving the joy & perfection of a Patti Smith concert. Friday at the Beacon Theatre, #PattiSmith and her band marked 50th anniversary of album ‘Horses.’ Extremely lucky to be in #NYC for the celebration.
You @rollovereasy.org are in misting, sweet SF while we’re on Hudson River’s edge. Happily, on both coasts one can wander through bucolic botanical gardens. Horse drawn carriages remain in Central Park & B.Hutch is now painting on broken plates so I have to guard the china cabinet.
