It's hard to feel safe when you know that the person who runs the platform welcomes people who radically hate a minority group you belong to, just as long as they don't say it out loud. Hate cannot be fought without vigilance. (6/6)

At best, I imagine Thor and his community managers will need to put in extra work during the near future to stamp out shittiness. It's easy for Thor to write all this off as an overreaction, but I think it's completely fair for this to erode the trust of women/minorites in his community. (5/6)

If you freely allow hateful people into your community as long as they don't vocalize their hate, you signal that it's a safe place for them - eventually your community will be full of hateful people, and the culture WILL seep through. You need to be vigilant. (4/6)

Asmongold uses his platform to spread hate and bigotry, and in doing so cultivates a community that is supportive or complicit of it. Thor needs to understand the effect that sharing his platform with that person has on his own community, even if Asmongold isn't acting hateful live on stream. (2/6)
