RELEVANT AGAIN
RELEVANT AGAIN
defending art's right to exist, especially nsfw art, inherenetly involves you having to allow art you don't like or even think is abhorrent or reprehensible to exist. you do not have to pretend to like it or engage with it, but you need to let it exist. you give fascists an inch they take a mile.
With what's going on with Subscribestar, it's a good moment to remind you all of something:
Free speech also includes speech you don't agree with, and freedom of artistic expression also includes art you find horrible or disgusting.
And if you go: "Yeah I agree! However-"
Then you don't agree!
This is important if you don't want visa or MasterCard to tell you how to spend your money.
keep your work archived on a personal drive and just reupload it every time they try to fuck you over. take up as much space as you are owed. fuck you make me
What makes me so fucking mad is
I never hurt anyone. The vast, overwhelming majority of nsfw creators and sex workers dont.
We get cut off from the ability to use-the-dollar but all the sick fucks that hurt people, both directly and indirectly, every single day, never get even a slap on the wrist
You can read the public comments on this. There's a grand total of 10 of them. I highly suggest adding your support, but be sure to read through it first. They're looking for comments on specific questions, so you should answer with specifics.
From somebody who knew nothing of this to somebody who now calls daily, it took like 30 minutes to learn and takes like 10 minutes a day. Even though I'm barely online anymore due to having lotsa responsibilities, I make the time to do it.
Pick up your phone and start makin' trouble for the nazis.
The Substar TOS looks extremely similar to Patreon's now. Call your reps or we will lose everything
Tell them to stop the payment processor power grab, tell them to vote no on child online safety bills/ID verification. We need everyone
Bully PayPal and Stripe but I still think VISA and Mastercard are better targets: as well as asking your reps to start thinking about laws that protect porn from being debanked.
Again, porn is still legal but they're very quickly making it impossible to access, which makes it essentially illegal.
The "no furries with humans" rule is consistently one that sites have been forced to implement and that's how you know it's from payment processor pressure.
It isn't a coincidence that these TOS changes all look very similar. It's because it's the same few companies making these sites do it.
So many folks gleefully tell me, "They won't ever ban porn, come on! This is America!"
But, we are already seeing them do it. It just isn't a bill that says "No More Porn".
Listen when sex workers tell you to be wary of things. They warned of this for a long time.
Individual websites will not save us. Running from platform A to platform B will not work as payment processors and legislation will simply follow our trail
You have to speak out against censorship and surveillance legislation. Its the source of all of this.
Call your reps
Its been brought to my attention that SubscribeStar has updated its content policies and is now much, much more strict wrt the kinds of content it will host
subscribestar.adult/prohibited_c...
I know calling reps is very nerve racking. You're not sure what's the right thing to say, and tbh having a script thrown at me makes things just as nerve racking.
I called today, and I figured I'd write up a transcript of how my call went down. Hopefully it helps demystify the process
Tried to make a post about this *on* Substar, but it's pending review so nobody can see it.
Anyways, if you're pledged to my page, I guess consider switching back to Patreon?

Can't believe there's ever a world where I would ask that.

The new Prohibited Content changes on SubscribeStar are intense. I will unpack all the new additions. The section was changed today (March 10th, 2026) and impacts adult content of canonically underage characters, feral content, incest, and noncon content
Bear with me as this may take a moment
If you're a bit confused on how to submit, follow this link
www.federalreserve.gov/apps/proposa...
And click "Submit Comment" on the right.
Unfortunately I forgot to save my own comment as an example. Just be courteous and explain how Reputation Risk policies harm you and/or other people around you
Hey, alongside contacting your representatives, this seems like another thing worth putting a bit of your time into and sharing around. If we could get "reputational risk" taken off the table, even in this current climate, that could create a chilling effect on these kinds of policies
I think at some point people are going to have to show up outside of the Mastercard HQ with signs and protest this censorship stuff, I feel like there has to be a visible IRL presence where execs work to actually make a dent in this issue
We have to keep complaining:
stop-paypros.neocities.org
You need to call your reps and demand that they OPPOSE:
-the KIDS Act
-KOSA
-the Screen Act
-Sammy's Law
-the App Store Accountability Act
And additionally, oppose:
-reforming/sunsetting Section 230
-online age verification/ID laws

USA folk, you need to annoy these assholes as much as you can. this bill is not to protect children. they want to erase transgender people from public life and classify them as degenerate content in the internet. we will not be seen or heard. they want our *existence* to be a sex offense.
Pursuant to this: the purpose of the recent WV Legislature bill which makes trans people using the correct locker rooms guilty of sex offence indecent exposure is very clearly as much to make that particular sex offence plausibly meaningless as it is to persecute trans people
Hidden at the end of this bill is its real purpose: defining trans existence as sexualized and a threat to children.

You better wake the fuck up now. If we don't make their lives ABSOLUTELY FUCKING MISERABLE, we're going be the ones who get shafted. And HARD.
You best believe that everything about the Internet we know is going to die and everything we know and love with it.
I've made my calls today. You need to.
The Internet as we know it right now, is very much in danger. The things you are doing here now, in this space, may be locked off from you for no reason. And these big tech companies? They can't WAIT to restrict you.
We can't sit by and let out of touch politicians and big companies take this space
The package of censorship and surveillance bills brought up in todays markup has been advanced
Continue to contact your representatives and demand this legislation be opposed. Tell your family and friends, explain how these bills are not what they appear, and ask them to join us in opposition!
