Wargamer for over 45 years. Typical wargames butterfly playing anything but with my first true love being Fantasy gaming hence the profile pic of FA6 Bard with lute and sword from the Fantasy Adventurers range from Citadel way back in 1979

If I muck up a join then super glue makes it easier to break the parts apart and retry. Plastic glue tends to melt the parts together making it more difficult to rectify cock-ups (which is a normal occurrence for me)
Assemble first and then paint. When I got the Victrix Napoleonic British infantry some of the arms were a nightmare to attach to the body (firing poses). Super glue had to be applied liberally. I hate to think, though, what would have happened if I had painted the parts first and then tried gluing.
Delighted to see that my Partizan show report has already been viewed by 700+ gamers and is still rising. I do invest a lot of time and effort into trying to convey the atmosphere of the show, so itβs gratifying when people enjoy my efforts. Please share the link freely!

Finally based the forager figures. They'll be on the table soon I hope. The mat is too dark so will need to come up with something lighter in future.

Want to know what Chain of Command 2 has to offer? In this exclusive video, I had a chat with Rich all about the new aspects of the second edition of CoC, we talked about how history shapes the rules, what stuff to expect and how the rules were developed over the past few years

The Characters encountered so far in The Fellowship of the Ring TTG
The game box and rule book for The Fellowship of the Ring TTG
The suit Cards for The Fellowship of the Ring TTG
So it will be interesting to see how the multiplayer game compares once we can get going.
But so far I will give the game ππ»ππ» #TheLordoftheRings #cardgame
Set up is minimal and the rounds play out quickly. The components are excellent and the artwork on the cards is stunning.
A multiplayer game plays out totally differently - Played a 4 player game last week and completely crashed and burned on the First Chapter!
#TheLordoftheRings #cardgame
Thoughts so far on The Fellowship of the Ring TTG? As a solo game it definitely provides a puzzle that needs to be carefully thought out. And of course being a card game, each time you play will be different.
3 Chapters played but a long way to go (18 in total) #TheLordoftheRings #cardgame
The One Ring can win the trick or the Player can decide to lose the trick. Frodo definitely wants this trick in The Fellowship of the Ring TTG!
A further 2 Rings cards are captured by Frodo in The Fellowship of the Ring TTG! The end of the Chapter is in sight!
Gildor fulfils his required task by playing a Forest card in the last trick of the Chapter of The Fellowship of the Ring TTG!
Frodo plays the One Ring to win the trick. Playing the 5 of Mountains, the other characters discard to the trick, as they canβt follow suit and Frodo collects the 4 Rings cards that he needs. Last trick of the round Gildor plays a Forest card and the Chapter is complete! #TheLordoftheRings #cardgame
What do I need to do to ensure that Frodo ends up with 4 of the Rings cards from The Fellowship of the Ring TTG?
The last line of cards is drawn. Pippin now has 2 of the Rings cards, Frodo needs to hold 4 of them at the end of the round. The remaining cards get played out from the hands on display. The Rings suit has still not been broken and Maggot must lead. Thinking, thinking!! #TheLordoftheRings #cardgame
Drawing the 4 of Forests should make Maggotβs chances of getting his 2nd trick a lot easier in Chapter 3 of The Fellowship of the Ring TTG. However, I canβt lose sight of the fact that Frodo hasnβt acquired any of his Ring cards yet and Pippin holding the 5 of Rings might complicate things
A fortuitous draw of cards should mean that Maggot will capture his second trick in The Fellowship of the Ring TTG. I need to be careful though as Frodo has not yet taken any of his 4 requires Ring cards #TheLordoftheRings #cardgame
The Pendraken shop will be as normal this coming week so head over and grab anything you need. All of the info on our shop and opening times can be found on our website here: https://www.pendraken.co.uk/retail-shop
In The Fellowship of the Ring TTG, Gildor plays the 4 of Shadows allowing Maggot to take the trick. Maggot cannot play the 4 of Rings yet as the Rings suit cannot be led at this stage so I need to think of a way of trying to capture the 4 of Hills in Pippinβs hand
Gildor leads with the 4 of Shadows letting Maggot take the first of his required tricks. And I see a way for him to get his second. It will depend on the next line of cards that are drawn! #TheLordoftheRings #cardgame
New line of cards drawn for the second trick of Chapter 3 of The Fellowship of the Ring TTG. I think I am already struggling with how to play out this round
A new line of cards drawn for the 2nd trick of Chapter 3 of The Fellowship of the Ring TTG. Already I think this is going to be a struggle. Note the 1 of Mountains tucked behind the Chapter card. This is called the βThe Lost Cardβ (so doesnβt play a part in this Chapter) #TheLordoftheRings #cardgame
Can Farmer Maggot and Gildor Inglorion help the Hobbits escape the Shire?
A starting hand with 2 Forest cards for Gildor Inglorion. Even if he doesnβt draw anymore he should hopefully be able to keep one of those for the final trick.
A closer look at Farmer Maggot and Gildor cards from The Fellowship of the Ring TTG. Maggotβs task is similar to Sams (note he has drawn the Black Rider β4β threat card). Gildorβs task will need careful management to ensure he has a forest card to play in the final trick #TheLordoftheRings #cardgame
Chapter 3 set up card for The Fellowship of the Ring TTG
Chapter 3 of The Fellowship of the Ring TTG. Farmer Maggot and Gildor Inglorion are on hand to help the Hobbits. The star symbol next to a characterβs name mean they must be used in the Chapter leaving 1 slot to be filled, so Pippin it is #TheLordoftheRings #cardgame
Frodo uses the One Ring to capture the trick
Sam has captured his required trick. Merry has 2 so doesnβt need any more. Pippin has taken no tricks (which is good) so Frodo is able to trump the trick with the One Ring (because the One Ring brings them all and in the Darkness, Binds them). Chapter 2 complete. #TheLordoftheRings #cardgame
