It's kind of sad that nobody mentions Gilligan's Island anymore.

NYE is normally my favorite holiday, but after spending the last 3 months in grief, I have only the emotional capacity to confront whichever day that I’m in.

Ugh! I accidentally machine washed (on delicate, at least) a dry clean only sweater! Is it ruined forever?

To hold onto them for me. Our friendship was already seriously strained, but this was the final straw. I had left that first marriage, so the wedding pictures weren't so important, but the loss of the family portraits has haunted me ever since. It's been over 20 years and it still breaks my heart.

I know her family used the negatives to make portraits of their deceased mother who had been at my wedding, so at some point my friends knew exactly where they were. Sadly, when the time came for me to reclaim them, my friend couldn't recall anything about them and insisted I had asked her dad 2/

Way back when we used to develop film, I had asked my best friend (at the time) to hold onto some negatives for me from my wedding and family portraits. My then husband was a bit of an alcoholic and liked to destroy stuff when he was drunk/angry. I remember her dropping them into a filing cabinet 1/

I was at the post office yesterday morning waiting for them to open. There was another woman already waiting ahead of me. We made small talk and had a pleasant exchange. Then an older man walked in with his MAGA hat on. The smiles on mine and the other woman's faces instantly disappeared.
