AI and work: an expert assesses how far this revolution still has to run What’s real, what’s over-stated and what risks have we missed so far?

Very concise. Worth a read for some interesting stats. Conclusion? "The pattern that is emerging is this: AI helps those already inside the door while quietly narrowing the door for those trying to get in."

When you see someone post about their new role and it's one you applied for. I'm happy for them (genuinely), but a little disappointed for myself.
In this instance, I know I lost to an excellent individual who will do some really good work; really happy for them.

100% with you. Also, as my laptop has a number pad too (why??) the keyboard and trackpad are off-set to the left (trackpad centred under the keypad, not to the frame), so I feel very off-centre when using it. So annoyed!!

I get excited when I see finches and tits (snigger) .. anything other than the usual sparrows and pigeons are always welcome (although sparrows are cute too). We have a regular visitor of a sparrow hawk to our garden (only seen 3 times in 12yrs, but neighbour sees it almost weekly!).

The recommendation is to NOT use bird feeders at home as the pigeon's have introduced and, even with cleaning, re-introduce the 'Trichomonosis' disease at the feeder. Finches have been the worst affected.
