I was leading the medieval tour at Pembroke Castle today, and the bulb was out in the Monkton Tower (where prisoners would be held before trial). The only natural light came from an arrow slit, so I thought I’d try a selfie. I may have just stumbled on the perfect author photo!

Quite a niche sign… there can’t be that many chickens & ducks who can read, let alone have dogs! 😬

Dear Santa, I’m writing this on behalf of my dog, Monty. He can’t write himself because he’s not very good at holding a pencil, but I want you to know that he’s been a very good boy 🐾

Just checked the postbox & there was an envelope addressed to Monty 🐾… and inside was a Christmas card to him & a biscuit… from the post lady! How kind!

The Christmas cake everybody’s mum always used to make… ❤️

Anarchy in the UK…

Another day of getting in the car & sheer panic flowing over me as I look at the clock & think I’m an hour late setting off for where I need to be… then realising I just haven’t got around to putting the time back one hour for the end of British Summer Time 😳

I guess it keeps him busy when he’s not singing about fields of gold and all that malarkey…

Whilst I was researching my latest book, a CSI told me that koala fingerprints & human fingerprints are so alike that it’s hard to tell them apart… which I thought was quite interesting but led onto the bigger question of what type of crime scenes he was going to that might have both present 😳
