The last time David Byrne played Glasgow, the Art School burnt down.
This time David Byrne played Glasgow, Union Street is on fire, and Central Station is in danger.

Think Arrival in Utopia & Utopia were originally two separate pieces on Choose Your Masques album. the first an ambient/spoken word intro (vocals by Nik Turner) into the second, a song with vocals by Brock. This later version doesn’t have the intro text.

Looks pretty bad. Building on Union street is well alight and now partially collapsed. Best case scenario is that the station will have water/smoke damage but impossible to guess how bad the damage is inside.

Well, looks like it’s a bus replacement service for anyone hoping to use Central Station in Glasgow for the next few months at least

It’s national Book Day in the Uk where amongst other things kids are invited to go to school in costume inspired by a book. I have again failed to convince my son to dress up as The Golden Road: The Recorded History of the Grateful Dead. 😉
