By examining prayer through historical, spacial, and normative lenses, we aim to foster dialogue among specialists of sectarian movements.
Ritual prayer is a universal practice in Islam, reflecting both individual devotion and social dynamics. The workshop “Policing the Prayer” focuses on how ritual prayer reveals the relationships between sectarian Muslim groups, political authorities, and dominant Muslim communities.
