HanaShura was alright. It had slightly underwhelming visuals + a story that hits similar beats as Eupho w/out the same impact. But I appreciate the show's distinct pov on hard work in the high school club environment, and the inside look at competitive public speaking in Japan.

"Gundam GQuuuuuuX" anime series is coming to Prime Video on April 8 (worldwide).

I love this recent trend of the Academy going with the non-boring choice for Best Animated Feature 👍👍

Watched Gundam GQuuuuuuX: Beginning! #GQuuuuuuX

Not a Gundam guy, so the first half lost me, but the second half kicked ass. Kazuya Tsurumaki, Hideaki Anno, Yoji Enokido & team still have the sauce. Excited for the series.

I only watched 4/10 of the Oscar best picture nominees this year, but somehow that's probably more than the Academy voters have seen

#TheColorsWithin (Kimi no Iro) is potentially the prettiest anime film I've ever seen. Absolutely stunning level of detail for the drawings & character animation, even for the background characters. The writing is a bit thin, but visually this is the culmination of Naoko Yamada's career so far 🎸
