Claude did … rm -Rf did … you used the tool , you gave it permission (implicitly or explicitly) … you did it , it does not matter what tool is used . You are still responsible for how you use your tools be them AI powered or not.

Claude literally asks for permission to do this. Its like launching a rm -Rf on a folder with an account that has permissions over the folder and saying “rm wiped our folder”
I think of it like classic model driven architecture but the code generation we leave it to coding agents.
nothing makes me more uneasy nowadays than the phrase "let me try a simpler approach"
Not many times I get to be proud of being Spanish , this is one of them. (On one dimension… the rest…)
AI has genuinely good uses AND real negative impact on learning and organizations. As workers we must seize the means of production. As wardens of the future we must understand the societal issues. But the market gives us no time to think — as always with capitalism.
The difference between a junior and a senior? The senior knows there’s no silver bullet — everything depends on context.
Same applies to AI. I have a PhD in the field, and the polarization baffles me. The hype is over the top. The doomsday nonsense is equally absurd.
There is already a gap in current society that tries to equate theoretical knowledge vs practical knowlede (bjj tutorial syndrome?) and know we also have to deal with this stupid idea that no knowlede and following instructions (vomited by an AI) equals a practical solution.
The way we use a tool determines what we learn about a task when using it… and AI allows you to get something cross the finish line even if it is a massive dumpster fire. We are not ready as a society for this in many ways. ChatGPT won’t have anyone winning worlds for sure.
Really nice! For me learning is such a complex thing with a spectrum of levels … really interesting to see how AI impacts it , what is means for actual skill acquisition and the impact (short , long, perceived, hyped, real… )
Only reasonable response is to do a pull request with the updated stats and graph
Also the crow is smoking a cigarette after its shift

“Angelica Galvão Breaks Her Silence” to no say much , thoughts @elchefe.me ?
1/ The fact that the British government is appealing this is a fucking disgrace.
The decision to go after Palestine Action was shameful.
«Britain's High Court ruled Friday that the government's decision to outlaw the protest group Palestine Action as a terrorist organization was unlawful»
@olafurw.com this is another level of famous…
But even in the toxic culture that “some” BJJ clubs breed I can’t understand how the can reconcíliate thinking themselves protectors and at the same time rooting for someone who preys on the young… i hope this contradiction creates a consequence for him. I will be wrong.
I can’t even begin to understand…
Craig jones posting DMs?
Clearly Evan Him
Clearly had your team pulling an all-knighter to get this released
This is extremely important to communicate to young people considering going into tech, in the beginning it might look like a computer-job, but this is fundamentally a people-job.
Even more importantly:
If you want to actually Get Good you have to *care* about people
Having an eye for quality and being able to review something thoroughly are going to be the skills of the future.
GPUs are expensive… I understand
For once I can be proud of Spain…
You and me both LMAO
Happy new CET year to everyone!!
It’s a whole talk where I wrestle with all of this.
