So far, this has been my least favorite expansion. It dragged on similar to Heavensward, but the storytelling wasn't as tight.
I get they were trying to show the parallel between Ala Mhigo and Doma, but transitioning to Doma in the middle of it all just meant that Ala Mhigo was undercooked.

Finished Stormblood's main campaign.
And the game was right; fuck everything about Zenos. Gaius at least believed that he was fighting for the greater good of Eorzea. Zenos, again, is just a glorified 4channer who knows how to fight.
Glad he's dead, but damn, it was unsatisfying.

All sympathy was out the door when she told that dude to kill his parents, and then killed him in front of 'em when he refused.
Hardship doesn't fuck up somebody to that extent if they weren't an asshole to some degree to begin with.
The only candidates were gonna be Lyse or Raubahn, and Raubahn wasn't gonna leave Nanamo or Ul'dah.
The biggest problem is that Stormblood hasn't thus far focused on Ala Mhigo nearly enough, so there isn't enough development to make a lot of writing here make sense.
Again, "too woke" territory.
Hell, her father is so dark-skinned, you wouldn't know they were related if the game hadn't told you.
I could also say something about how most of the Scions with the exception of Y'shtola are all white, but I'mma leave it at that.
Gotta remember, Japanese game.

1.) We didn't spend enough time with him
2.) We just had a death scene featuring an old mentor archetype which hit much harder
3.) They foreshadowed it too hard

You know, it's wild to me that not only were CDi Zelda games the first ones in which you could play as Princess Zelda, but it took until Echoes of Wisdom in which you could play as her again in a mainline entry.
Thirty goddamn years until you could play the title character again.
