Thrilled to announce the publication of my first article as last & corresponding author! This opinion piece in BIOspektrum, written with Ms Ann Homscheid and Prof Dr Kaleta, explores how Systems Biology can be used to disentangle complex diseases. Access: rdcu.be/ersH6
Great article about Medical Systems Biology by Ann Homscheid and @maringos.bsky.social from the lab in BIOspektrum (in German): link.springer.com/article/10.1...
Honoured to be part of that project. Well done @sci-witch.bsky.social !
Negative results (due to unfortunate ideas, methods, etc.) often go unpublished. This leaves #postdocs with fewer manuscripts, less visibility, and opportunities for faculty, ideally tenured, promotions. Networking and luck play a role, but as Louis Pasteur noted, 'Chance favours the prepared mind'.
Proudly presenting Virtual Colon, our modelling software for host-microbial metabolic spatiotemporal interactions in the mammalian large intestine, during the Kiel Life Sciences Retreat 2024, in Schleswig, Germany. Thanks to all the participants and to @kaletalab.bsky.social & @kamoors.bsky.social!
