/5 This child wrote 2 lines. Her first thought, she said, was "What the hell is wrong with them?" Her second was "They were being way too melodramatic and needed adult supervision." She is definitely my kid.
/4 He wrote on mine "I knew you were no Juliet" and I realized he'd been complimenting me the entire time. It was never an insult. My daughter, who is home schooled, just finished reading it for the first time. I asked her to write and tell me how she felt about it instead of a summary. π€£ππ€£
/3 I had some strong opinions about how stupid and ridiculous it was to marry someone you just met and then less than a week later delete yourselves from life over them. I think only 3 of us actually got an A on it because we weren't sucked into the "romance and passion of it all".
/2 It didn't take long for me to register that Romeo had went from Rosaline to Juliet real quick, a little too quick. By the end of the story I was absolutely disgusted with both Romeo and Juliet. We were then asked to write how we felt about the story, not a summary. I went off π€£ππ€£
𧡠My ninth grade English teacher, Mr. Stephen Kelley, used to tell me often, "You're no Juliet", referencing Romeo and Juliet. I really thought it was an insult. Then we read Romeo and Juliet for class. Out loud, of course, in tandem.
Sad to hear this. I loved his Revenge of the Nerds movies and my oldest daughter was a huge fan of the Lizzie McGuire show.

Today, the Trump administration repealed the endangerment finding: the ruling that served as the basis for limits on tailpipe emissions and power plant rules. Without it, weβll be less safe, less healthy and less able to fight climate changeβall so the fossil fuel industry can make even more money.
We should not be deporting veterans. This is so messed up.
Mondays are a crazy thing. Within 30 minutes of waking up my husband and son were on the way to the hospital from trying to break up a dog fight. Animals control's response was "put them down yourself, we can't afford it" and now I'm catching up on the halftime show. It's not even lunchtime yet.
Glad to know I'm not the only one who complains about everything being slow as molasses around here π
