At a convention a couple years ago someone had a "free" shelf for orphaned cartridges without labels. It was a great way to get these games to a loving home. I picked up an Atari cart that ended up being Infiltrate. I had my GF draw me up a new label for it.

Was Not Was (I love them) songs are avant garde, surrealist, subversive, and anti-establishment, but Walk The Dinosaur is easily their most accessible song and I don't see how someone could take offense to it. This is some bullshit, lol.

Pinball is an awesome game. So what if the label is gone? It's still good.

I like how this is the explanation they give in the book, but the real reason is so that the score can be divisible by four! You can finish the game with all characters having the same level counting score. I've done this before in SMB2/USA and had their names rotate!

My laptop definitely does not have the color depth for this test (I can see each step of color in gradients on this thing.) I could easily pass one of these tests on paper.

I can see that for Mario Picross, but Dr Mario? There's MILLIONS of those carts out there!

Super Mario Bros 2/USA is one of my all-time favorite games. It was one of the first games I ever owned. Sometimes, if I am feeling particularly salty, I rate it as the #1 Mario game (but not all the time.) I really hope there's merch/toys related to it now. Wart is so cool.

I think that's a bit from the Sack Lunch Bunch. I absolutely loved that special. I feel like I woulda been obsessed with it if I saw it as a kid.

In the US it released only three months before Mario 64.
I worked hard to earn some extra money so I could buy it in June. At least it was way cheaper than other RPGs at the time, being only $60.

So towards the end of its life they realized if they just did 2D they could squeeze even MORE powerful images out of it. Those last 2D games looked AMAZING.

As a weirdo Jaguar fan, I enjoyed it very much.

One of the more pleasant dreams I had last night was that I wrote a children's book about a crocodile that adopted a baby bird. The bird lived in her mouth and sometimes used a toothbrush to clean his mother's teeth.

There's so much here
but I want to be the one to point out the moles. Definitely need to be added to the list of video game moles.

MacroVision on VHS didn't stop me from watching videos through my computer's capture card, but DVD MacroVision put faint green lines on my screen. Very annoying until I just bought a DVD drive for the computer.

I used to love making PETSCII art in the 90s. I couldn't draw, but using building blocks to make pictures was the next best thing.

3DS was shockingly advanced for a handheld system.

Nice. What would you call graphics drawn with these tilesets? C1PSCII? Ohioscii?

I made sure to grab this game first when I got a Saturn back in the 00s. Such a great little game by the late Kenji Eno. A real genius!!

I couldn't help but be excited about any tv show about video games, even if it was a lousy, poorly made cartoon.

Good lord, these things taste fuckin rancid. I hate throwing out food though, so I'll have to take awful nibbles of it over the course of many days until I can wash this container out and display it with the rest of my Mario collection.

I just learned about Parasol Henbee three years ago thanks to Famidaily. It's one of the few obscure Famicom titles I didn't know about.
I forgot about it until now. Thanks for reminding me... I'm going to try it again.

This movie is loaded with really stupid ideas that suck out any kind of emotional value the story might've had. This is somewhere at the top (top of the stupid pile.)
