from my understanding Ms Pacman is now owned by AtGames (who i think makes those small arcade cabinets for home use) and instead of paying them royalties or forking over a huge amount of money to get Ms Pacman back namco just went "fuck you" and just replaced her completely lol
it's such an unpleasant looking design. the weirdly high-detail lips, the eyes, the lack of a nose, the small hands/feet... i don't know how they managed to make a literal circle so unappealing lol
