"The day that will live in infamy" has mostly died of neglect.
Heather Cox Richardson offers the most lucid explanation(s) of the way Trump and his cronies are taking a hammer to our beautiful America. Get her daily letter wherever you get your podcasts.
The trouble with cars that start with the push of.a Buttonβnow all of themβis that you can walk or drive away with the keys in your pocket. In the old days, they hung from the ignition in the dash.
All the pearl-clutching about Zohran Mamdani--by right-wingers who elected a half-senile old TV star president--is very amusing. For once the shoe is on the other foot.

www.nextavenue.org/the-monster-... Great article! Good stuff from Stephen King, John Schaech and Billy!
Havenβt looked at the part titles that closely yet, but Iβm halfway through and this might be my favorite book of all time
Mark Z. Danielewski's novel, TOM'S CROSSING, is published today. Set in the Utah mountains, it's a chase story...and as close to the Great American Novel as you're ever going to get.
She's talkin' about KING SORROW.
Don't miss an early release of Episode 2 on Halloween. Episode 1 of #ITWelcomeToDerry is now streaming.
#HappyHalloween
I know he's my kid, so take it with a grain of salt if you wanna, but KING SORROW is one of the best terror tomes I've ever read. It's the GONE WITH THE WIND of horror! π
SALEM'S LOT turns 50 as of today. Didn't know until my pal (and co-writer) Rich Chizmar told me.
Trump: The gretest con man in American history.
Two books for spooky season:
COFFIN MOON, Keith Rosson: Best modern vampire story ever (although it's set in the 70s).
THE TWISTED ONES, by T. Kingfisher: It lures you in with chatty good humor (especially about NPR Pledge Week) and a lovely dog...then slams the door and bites you in the dark.
No Kings Day message to Trump: Other than your coterie of ass-kissers, nobody likes you.

Run.
#ITWelcomeToDerry premieres October 26 on HBO Max.
Bel Air Barnes & Noble is stocked up again with signed books. Hope you can make it to our signing this Saturday.
WIDOWβS POINT hit the Publishers Weekly bestseller list this morning. So grateful to everyone who picked up a copy.
@joe-hill.bsky.social I wanted to get in on the King Sorrow ARC love.
What an amazing book! This is the fastest Iβve ever read 900 pages. Pacing was incredible, and King Sorrowβs Freddy Krueger-meets-Smaug-with-Robert-Shawβs-Voice vibe was so fun.
Congratulations on such an accomplishment. Wow.
WELCOME TO DERRY is amazing. First episode is terrifying.
Trump (eyes rolling back and forth in their sockets, muttering): I have enemies. They are everywhere.
[Voice raises to a shout]
ENEMIES EVERYWHERE! CUT THEM OUT! ROOT AND BRANCH! CUT THEM OWWWT!
The new trailer for THE RUNNING MAN is up. My IT guy will post it. I don't "get" posting on Bluesky. That's okay. I've seen the movie, and it's a balls-to-the-wall thrill ride. The feel is like a modern-day DIE HARD.
Play the game or the game plays you. Watch the New Trailer for The #RunningManMovie β Only in theatres November 14
KILLING FAITH: A quasi-supernatural Western that has echoes of Cormac McCarthy. The first scene, involving a child and a horse, is a shocker.
Hard to blame the Democrats for the shutdown when you're in charge of all 3 branches of government, plus the Supreme Court.
JD Vance straight-up lied about Dems wanting health care for illegals. They are barred from the medical assistance orgs.
Your world will get bigger and brighter. THE LIFE OF CHUCK. From the hearts and souls of Mike Flanagan and Stephen King.
