The joy when you realise you have been too busy to open your advent calendar for days and have 4 chocolates to eat 😍👌
Still struggling to find the words to express what an awful loss this is to the world. A truly kind and caring person who supported and helped so many. He was always there for me. I will miss him.
Sending a huge hug to everyone else feeling this too.
Thank you Joshua for sharing this post.
Gutted to have missed this tonight due to cancelled trains 🤦🏼♀️ The report is out tomorrow
Yes
Easily accesible communication about where they are going, the steps involved, and where they are currently 🙏
Do it. Or at least one of those amazing old phonebox little library book swaps!? Do you have those in the States too?
Had my first last night but sadly not in front of a tree! We are moving house on 12th Dec so trying to hold off on a tree til then as thought of moving one already decorated making me anxious! 🤣
Thanks so much! I meant something like NotebookLM, been having fun seeing what it comes up with recently!
Mainly but some finding new budget because its being demanded from outside legal - how they spend it is the hard question when things are moving so fast - the amount of new tools makes it hard to assess. Back to basics looking at processes, knowledge assets and who does what, then requirements key
Just because there is a new tech, doesn't mean the legal department at corporate suddenly grew their budget...
Anyone turned this into a podcast yet that I can listen to?
I’m not talking about pie in the sky innovations. Literally one of my ambitions was to convert the client docs into a single PDF that was small enough to be uploaded to the government portal. Apparently that was seen as an attempt at telling my Principal how to run his business 5/7
The fact this place is run solely by volunteers and that we can have a family pass for 2 adults and 3 kids for a year for less than the price of a single trip to McDs blows my mind. My poor kids will be dragged there weekly til they turn 16 🤣 Thankfully they love it too.
More Museum of Power wonderfulness from today #Maldon
Add a general playbook and even better.
Then have point to part changed and click to accept or edit. Much faster and as not likely to do another for that property for years no use for doc auto. I like it! The needle is moving.
Had a real estate client recently who regularly gets sent an executed lease by pdf who then needs to use that as a base for a new lease. Old way = somebody has to copy type and format and then a lawyer amends. Today feed it in, give it the Heads of Terms, produce new one in Word and show changes...
Today was Little Srummers Rugby, a visit to the Museum of Power with a ride on a Miniature Steam Train, and a kids party where they had an entertainer so I could just sit back and relax. Top Saturday!
Also love Revolut and imagine they have some great engineers compared to law firms
Where very little variation from terms to contracts, new tools are arguably better than the time to set up, maintain and amend. Where lots of possible variation, I see a day very soon where the logic based tools like Doc Auto become an engine you don't see.
The speed from terms/instructions to contracts with new tools these days though is impressive and they can do so many other things like reviews, drafting suggestions and the likes. There is a place for both doc auto and genai tools (and others) and the outcomes are continuing to impress me!
In my happy place #MuseumOfPower
Thought I'd better share this article here first! #legaltech @helenburness.bsky.social and @bamlegal.bsky.social I hope you don't mind me quoting your posts - I'm loving the excitement people feel about being here.

In the context of contract negotiation, I just made a typo and wrote "nark ups" instead of "mark ups", and I paused before correcting as nark ups often seem more accurate.
Read this comment last night and now can't stop thinking about it. Esp re inhouse / commercial. An angle I hadn't considered before. Too far fetched or on the money?
Waking up to all my US friends thanksgiving food posts making me hunnngggggggry! 5.30am thought... Is it advent calendar day yet? *nope.
You'll need to break that down for me Marc!
@marclauritsen.bsky.social also discussed idea of some round tables next year bringing some doc auto geeks together to discuss the future. Would be fab to have you join.
We didn't get into it specifically but discussed the continued work on the automatic mark up, the possibility of doc auto being an engine in the future without anyone needing to see the questionnaire and little (but to me) important things to make it more user friendly like the wording of errors
