My precinct had more people last year and in 2024 which was a tiny group.

They knew they lost when they lost the rule vote.
Hey Dan I am curious what your thoughts are on the Blue Lone Extension and the games the Minneapolis Park Board has been playing with the project around North Memorial. The Board has nixed both an at grade and fly over option attempting to force a tunnel that would kill the project.
I can tell you why because we have to make a deal with the GOP to get a budget and the GOP is insisting they get to hurt someone in this process. It sucks I hate it no one should feel good about it and I think that Dem CC members should revolt and refuse to make that change.
Same
Probably shouldn't have allowed that extension.
No Katie alone didn't have enough to block.
222 is the magic number based on 370×60%.
Cashback has 41.5% of the votes enough to block an endorsement assuming they all stay.
Rainville endorsed.
Honestly I thought he hated city political factionalism.
Interesting that Will is engaging in City Politics like this.
Another one of my questions at least this one Rainville had an ok answer being pro pedestrian but refuses to acknowledge the elephant in the room making pedestrian travel terrible: car dominated design.
Yah that's in the rules it is meant for a broader presentation of the candidate (multiple speakers & maybe a video) but at the city council level it turns into a 10 minute speech and that doesn't work.
Glad my question got asked so disappointed in Rainville's answer way to miss the moment and point of the question.
10 minutes is a long speech and none of these candidates are good enough speakers to speak that long.
True
Probably a bad sign for Katie.
213 for Ward 3 endorsement takes 128.
Credentials seems to be taking a while.
No Mayor Frey speech at the Ward 3 Convention?
And in the end what did all these games do? Cost 200ish people an extra hour of their day.
This is a suspension of the rules right so it needs a super majority?
Shameful honestly
No Q&A section?
Assuming that it will take 15 minutes for a paper ballot then campaign speeches of 30 minutes, and the Q&A of 30 minutes will be all the time there could be.
If they really wanted to play games I would have voted on the end date first (divide the question) and then attempt to amend rules all the way to 3.
Is there any convention rules about dilatory motions?
Implementation also matters a lot most of Biden's legislative legacy to the extent it will happen will occur over the next 4 to 6 years. That cannot be accepted next time if we pass a bill for example to build more solar plans we need to be seeing production from them within a year.
If by fun you mean it will be exceptionally long.
