Chumbawamba made a fantastic anti-Nazi anthem 30 years ago. This is a battle cry. We need to ensure this evil never comes back
A lot of super germane stuff to our modern context in Chumbawamba, and they made music for more than 30 years. If you only know Tubthumping you don't know this band. They literally wrote that after someone challenged them to write a hit.
hard to pick the best chumbawamba album but we lean towards their folk era more. The Boy Bands Have Won is amazing, ABCDEFG is a fine final album, but Singsong And A Scrap is also phenomenal.
The greatest trick the Top 40 machine ever pulled was hiding the fact that Chumbawamba (the Tubthumping band) were anarcho-communist, feminist, and anti-fascist, and put out an album of English Rebel Songs including The Diggers' Song.
