I've been playing the SH2 remake (it's good)

After a while the place just gives up and all the spooky stuff fades away into cracked streets and the sketchiest 7/11 you've ever seen. They don't even sell Dr. Pepper.

stray thunk: Silent Hill hitting a brick wall when it runs into a person like Angela who consciously thinks (misguidedly or not) they deserve the punishment so in turn the town can't really do anything to "hurt" them after a point.
