Same here. I grew up shuttling between the Baptist, Church of Christ, Methodist and Christian churches depending on which relative or friend I accompanied.

Integrity and decency are no longer part of the republican credo. That’s gone. Potentially forever. Being decent wasn’t helping achieve their goals. They still had tragically sucky policies.
The really sad part is that there are obviously large swathes of America that are populated by people who are too ignorant or who are too in love with cruelty to know or care (let alone vote) for what’s right.
This won’t be fixed in my lifetime. The republicans will never cede power just because they can’t win without cheating. trump has indisputably proven that being a malignant narcissist who lies with impunity and has no shame, morals, ethics or respect for the law is the republican way forward.

We’re very close to the point where you’re pretty safe just assuming that any right wing politician you might have to deal with is a sexual predator.
If you were to literally pick any weekday from the last 7 months, I guarantee that if President Obama had done any ONE of the horrible/scandalous things that trump did on the chosen day republicans would have been howling for his blood. They would have funded an election cycle over that one thing.
Evidence that proves beyond any doubt that trump was directly involved in Epsteins criminal will further endear him to his followers.
