Apparently Eugenio Suarez had his citizenship application taken off the books because he's Venezuelan and his response was "it is what it is."

Wow - Rece Hinds just perked up the crowd in the 8th inning when he crushed a three-run HR off of the LF scoreboard.
How crushed was that ball? 119.6 exit velo, 437 feet says Statcast. #reds
How does one get in on this RR kickback plan?
Asking for an RR friend
Noelvi Marte misplayed another ball in RF today because, y'know, he's barely ever played there.
He also couldn't hit LHP at all in 2025.
He's got immense talent, but he's also got a pair of minor league options remaining.
Is he really a lock for the everday RF role on the Reds right now?
Francona said Blake Dunn was diagnosed with a low grade left knee sprain after his MRI. Dunn will miss a few days but appears to have dodged a serious injury. #reds
GENOOOOOOOOOOO
CIN Home Run! Will Benson homers (2) on a fly ball to right center field. Spencer Steer scores. The score is now CIN 4, LAD 1 (Bottom 1)
Elly De La Cruz says goodbye in Goodyear.
114.5 mph EV, 438 feet out to center.
That's his hardest-hit ball of the spring so far.
From the right side, at that π
Elly's on the telly!
ESPN will be broadcasting today's game in Goodyear between the Dodgers and Reds, which starts at 3:05 PM ET.
And guess who's in the lineup batting 3rd?
Yesterday brought potentially serious injury news as well as a significant trade, and that got us to begin reconsidering how the Opening Day roster of the Cincinnati Reds might look now.
Here's our second stab at it of the spring:
The Reds thought they lacked the requisite depth on their roster of 'players from Ohio,' so they remedied that on Wednesday in another deal with the Pirates.
Will Terry Francona let Elly De La Cruz run the bases more aggressively in 2026 than they did last year?
Will batting 3rd squander those chances?
Can Elly once again swipe more than 50 bags for the ol' Redlegs?
one of those days for the 'ol Redlegs
Elly De La Cruz, the man who only hits for extra bases
Greene a little luck that Sal Frelick blast went just fould down the RF line...though he did end up drawing a walk.
Hunter Greene smacked around here, there, and everywhere isn't exactly what you tuned in to watch, but the stuff looked more than fine for his first outing of the spring.
Will be interesting to see if he's back out there in the 2nd for some more refining.
Believe it or not, the Cincinnati Reds play a baseball game tomorrow that you'll be able to watch on your screens with your own eyes, or eyes of another if that's something you can do!
Clear your schedules - Hunter Greene gets the start with a 3:05 PM ET first pitch!
To each their own!
(I don't.)
He's got his perks! No doubt about it!
I think my thought process is more trying to highlight that even if the Reds thought he had that bounce-back potential, they didn't acquire him at any discount despite how far his bat had dipped. They paid full price (and then some)!
232 MLB players have logged at least 500 PA against RHP since the start of 2024.
Hayes ranks last (.287 SLG). 2nd worst isat .310.
His 58 wRC+ against RHP in that time? Also totally, completely last.
I don't know exactly where I'm going with this, but it's worth putting out there that Ke'Bryan Hayes has 'slugged' .299 in 966 PA dating back to the start of the 2024 season.
Hey it's 10-9 because, y'know, spring training baseball!
Almost had another, but it ended up a 2-run double (and he got thrown out trying to make it into a triple).
Reds are pouring it on the Padres bullpen right now in the 5th. They're up 8-3.
Elly De La Cruz has his first triple of the Cactus League campaign, so that's pretty cool.
Iβve heard enough. Nick Lodoloβs gonna win the Cy Young this year.
You couldn't see the Reds walk off the Royals, but it was probably pretty cool!
Also this is the first (and only) known photo of a gum bubble *and* Geno where the gum bubble does not belong to Geno.
here's what it probably looked like since MLB won't let anybody see it for real:
Elly and Geno blasting back to back dingers?
Yeah, my 2026 is going to need a whole lot of that.
The Reds are rolling out a lineup with Friedl, McLain, Elly, and AU-Henny-O atop it, with first pitch scheduled for just 10 minutes from now.
No, of course you can't watch it! Why would you think you'd be able to watch it?!
You can talk about it with us here, though:
