In arguments with my HEP friends, I raised another argument for the fundamentality of Stat. Phys. . While, HEP focuses on the fundaments of this universe, Stat. Phys. should in principle work in a multitude of universes as it is "mathematical" and "independent" of particular Hamiltonian.

Having had experience with the number of web platforms of different funding agencies, I have to wonder - is there any that is actually good? All those I encountered provided miserable experiences both for PI's and for evaluators. Is there an anti-school for making funding agency platforms?

I am co-writing a review on the topic of differences between dynamics on networks given with adjacency matrix and incomplete representations of same networks (config model, SBM... as null models), partially known adjacency matrix, only known spectrum or part of the spectrum etc. 1/2

After all these years I still find Bronštein-Semendjajev as the most useful book ever printed. I could not live without my copies ( and I have a number of them strategically distributed in the office, at home, at my summer home ...).
