She also emphasized that people should sign up for the Wayne county alert systems in order to stay safe.
Councilwoman Calloway talks fondly about a town hall that happened a little while ago, calling it a smash hit.

Council member Johnson encourages people to engage in a critical home repair program for seniors and disabled households.

Councilwoman Santiago-Romero mentions a discussion with DPD on Monday concerning truck route enforcement, and a traffic enforcement unit. She encourages citizens to attend.
An item that’s not on the agenda (a walk on) is being suggested by Council member Waters, who says that a committee cannot meet within the first 60 days of the year due to scheduling issues- but will meet a week after. Asking to suspend that rule.

For number 22 on the agenda, all of these items are referred to their own department. The same is true for number 23, and 24.
There are two objections to items 20.19, but the items are approved all the way to item 20.22. Wavers are attached to 20.20-20.22.
Is a fiduciary on this grant because they work with the 6th district of Detroit, because auto theft has no borders.
Items 20.19 through 20.22 are now being discussed . Councilwoman Calloway asks Lt.Nathan Miller about this DPD grant requiring the city to match part of the price.

His response is that the cash match is large because the state is granting only 37%. He adds that the Dearborn auto theft unit..
There is a motion to approve items 20.11, 20.17, and 20.18. Those are approved.

Another question is posed as to why no one in Michigan can handle this contract. To which Mr.Adams responds that lead abatement is a specialty kind of work that very few can actually do.
