One of the kids has pretty heavy (and sometimes distressing) OCD and the other has probable (but subclinical) ADHD so I was really glad I got it figured out in time to recognize and respond helpfully
I will never check a paper planner, but my phone calendar, I'll see. I only allow notifications from texts and the calendar really.
And then I found a career that played to my strengths (editing!) and didn't really think about it much again until my late 30s
I had various social struggles and organizational difficulties but it really took seeing other people talk about doing things I did to realize they weren't everyone things.
When I was a kid we were focused on the noticeable TS tics and OCD habits. My grades were decent and I didn't disrupt class.
They can be very difficult to tell apart from inside!
Ironically the meds along with COVID-era Time Kompression made some of my old cobbled-together methods more difficult to maintain so I've ended up becoming genuinely more organized (calendars, alarms) to compensate when I would never remember to use them before.

I've seen some realllly striking uses of panels or art behaving inappropriately that can elevate the hell out of a scene. Especially when there are strange goings-on with time and space. Breaking those boundaries can be a really impactful tool.
