Today is the most depressing international women’s day of my relatively short life.
Hi! For some reason, I’m not able to DM, but I’m getting some info from other attendees, and we’ll figure it out. We were directed to the front desk for help, but we were surprised to be given no information or help at all. I want to stress that this is absolutely outside of the Con’s control.
The con hotel: “No, we cannot help you find another hotel. No, we don’t know where hotels are that aren’t affected by this. No, we can’t give you your room. No, we have no idea when you will get your money back.” The front desk was absolutely not helpful, nor did they care. @districtcon.bsky.social

We did some cleaning today and consolidated our “data lake” in anticipation of our new NAS coming in this week. Gonna need the hard drive toaster. Under this pile is a pile of flash drives. What other fun tech can you spot? :)
Hobbies: volleyball, vidya games, and my doggo Dax. I love giving back for STEM initiatives. I’ll be hosting a workshop at WiCyS this year on AI and mathy things, so that’s fun! My husband works at the STSCI on James Webb and Nancy Grace Roman. Yes, we are both nerds.
