Stunning!
An undoubted highlight from Peru was the famous 'bridge-side' Oilbird colony. The wonders of modern digital cameras even allow you to record the memory... these taken at ridiculous ISO settings! #birds
Our last full day in Peru was dedicated to finding Gray-bellied Comet. An endemic and difficult to see Hummer... and one of my most wanted birds of the trip. It was hard work but worth it in the end. Best I could manage with my camera but it means a lot to me!! #birds
One of my faves from Peru... Long-tailed Sylph #birds
A few hummers from early-stage editing of pics from the recent Peru trip ... #birds
Best garden in the world
The best bird Iβve ever seen! BOC rubbish for now but theyβll be nice when processed. Peru is mega btw! #birds.
Away in Peru chasing (amongst other things) hummingbirds... My first new one for the list was this Amazilia #birds
Did they call? Northern has a subtely deeper and harsher call if heard.
Thanks to @damianmoney.bsky.social for today's treat at Skinningrove #Birds @teesbirds.bsky.social @nybirdnews.bsky.social @northyorksbirds.bsky.social
14 Whoopers, counted in the moonlight, just gone south over my new garden. Canβt sleep for some reason πβ¦
98 Pinks over head just now will, Iβm sure, be my final garden tick before moving house in 2 weeks time @teesbirds.bsky.social @nybirdnews.bsky.social

Interesting Cairan. The LRP was there yesterday too. I could only get to 16 CSands but they were in and out of the reeds a lot. This morning, there were no C. Sands at all⦠maybe a different 6?
Hadnβt realise Iβd only ever seen three Redwings π
Iβve heard people talking about 4 different birds around at the moment
Is the βMed Gullβ half of this pair not a hybrid itself?
