The point is not whether the Afrikaner returnees are refugees or recent arrivals. The point is that Trump falsely claims that they are being persecuted in South Africa. Would they be returning if they faced persecution?

If the answer is that a voter risks being prosecuted if they present a fake birth certificate, ha ha!!!
They are subject to prosecution even now without the SAFE Act if they vote illegally.

Trump's real agenda in the SAFE Act is to get hold of millions of voter records so they can abuse that info.

I serve as a chief election judge. I wonder how election judges will be able to assess that the birth certificate a voter presents is not fake or actually belongs to that voter. No picture and even if there were one, do adults look the same as newborns?
