First, hey, Graham! Long time—hope you are great. Agree. Our EE group does this annually. We introduce our year, go out of room, they discuss our effort (res, teach, serv) and vote (merit, normal, etc). It’s wonderful to keep up with the work of our colleagues. Very rewarding (and often humbling).
