But also of a line of female transmission, a vestige of #spiritual and community function, of the Wolf as the spirit of the #crossroads, of offerings of butter and bread, of the spiritual illness of the Grand Mother, of a mysterious spiritual tool: the bobinette and the chevillette.

Today I recorded a study podcast for Little Red Riding Hood (French version by Perrault).
This tale speaks of a Christian syncretism of an ancient oral substrate of which we have lost track, of a witch's initiation between pins and needles, of a Red Meal, an inverted Eucharist.
Through this initiatory stasis, the human princess becomes a fairy queen carrying a complete spiritual ecosystem: one of ascending reality. Jour (Day) and Aurore (Aurora) are her children. She is a Summer Queen who grants sovereignty and abundance to the King also from a fairy lineage(ogresse'son)
Studying Sleeping Beauty:
This tale is about a cosmogonic war between two seasons, a ritual transformation of a princess into a fairy queen. Sleep is an initiatory stasis which allows to integrate the space-time of the Myth. She turns into a fairy spouse, an entity so present in European folklore.
We cannot have the beauty and perfection that Venus strives for without the dedication that Saturn provides and we cannot have long-lasting, meaningful relationships without the effort that Saturn requires.
I find it fascinating how *water with a prayer or enchantment on it* is nearly a universal form of blessing/remedy across cultures.
And btw, fascinating thread altogether about scorpions and folk belief in ancient Mesopotamia.

I aspire to the time keeping of animist storytellers who document events with sensual epiphanies of the landscape--it's the flower moon full and bright; the apple trees were pregnant with blossom and swaying in the warm wind; the spring tide was eager to kiss the furthest corners of the shore.
The message from the spirits of another time? The message of an arcana is not fixed, It lives in our journeys, as ephemeral as a flash of light.
Tarot is an interaction Intertwined in all relationships. Drawing a card is not necessarily probing what is not yet. Drawing a card also means letting the echoes come to you. What does this card tell me now? Is it literally talking about last night's dream, a message from the Land after a walk?
This tale is not about a necessary transgression of a taboo. Space and time are clearly Fairy infused in this tale. The laws are therefore also fairies. Broken taboos lead to problems and the breakdown of an alliance in the fairy world.
I have opinions about Bluebeard. The villain is in fact the heroine who did not respect the laws and prohibitions of her fairy lover who had nevertheless told her what the rules of his palace were. How did the 1 woman died if not through the violation of a fairy taboo given in exchange for marriage?
I must say the more I dwelve into my Celtic studies the more I feel everything is about speaking and embodying the Truth. The Truth seems to be the way we can take care of our kinship with the Otherworld.
Uncomfortable Truths, beautiful Truths, poetic Truths.
