Okay, who else wonders, when you're destroying your prescriptions bottle labels, "Oh my God, I'm creating artifacts that archaeologists are gonna be digging up in a few thousand years?"
It's easy to feel angry about the state of affairs right now. It's easy to feel scared. Don't. Trump voters are not the enemy. Most of them didn't intend to vote for this. Reach out, make connections, build hope, and take action. That's how we fix this. That's how compassion will win. 3/3 #USAID
The hardest part was listening to dad, who works for the state department tell me about some of the conversations he's had with federal workers being fired. One expat told him, "The program I worked for saves babies lives." and he had to tell him, "I know. It's not getting restarted." 2/
For the last two years, it was my pleasure babysitting daily for a wonderful family in Washington DC. Today I was told that mom has lost her job at USAID and they won't be able to keep me regularly employed. Losing my job wasn't the hardest part of that conversation though. 1/
To truly change the world, we need to empathize, not agree with, our ideological opponents. Understand their fear and anger are just as real as ours is. Work to soothe that fear and calm that anger within ourselves and in others.

The people being hurt by the rising tide of fascism need to unify instead of cannibalizing each other for not being radical enough. Enough of the No True Scottsman fallacy. It's time to close ranks and fight genocide and tyranny together. ✊
I'll still keep watching your content, agreeing with, and enjoying your posts 👍
I agree 100% but the Left needs to start considering the social psychology of persuasion in speaking to Trump supporters. They will meet perceived attacks on their social identities with defensiveness and reactance. Leaders on the left need to listen to the real concerns of the working class again.
Biden and Harris are more responsible for losing the election than protestors who refused to vote for candidates that support a genocidal apartheid regime.
