No a ”special “ ID for voting would be held up in bureaucracy and should never be required. If you were registered show proof of your identity with what is already required by state . They will purge voters and make it a complicated process when it should never be that.
In 1964, after returning from overseas, I went to vote against Barry Goldwater because I believed that he was in favor of the war. Do you know what happened? I couldn't vote because my name had been scrubbed from the voter roles while I was busy overseas defending the right of everyone else to vote

I believe that if Trump wants all of this vetting before voting and having a special ID in order to vote, then the government should pay for it all of it should be free all you have to do. That includes providing you with an official birth certificate and any other documentation you need.
