After a few months going to forgotten places looking for photos, I am struck by one thing. I am never the first person there. First was a homeless person looking for shelter, then a high school kid looking to get drunk. I come along with my nice boots and hand knit hat much later entirely uninvited.

I take medicine to stop my irrational negative thoughts but I think some people in positions of power should be taking medicine to allow themselves to have rational negative thoughts

It's sort of amazing that
1) we aren't being sanctioned by other countries right now, given the mess we've made and
2) we have nonetheless decided to sanction ourselves

I get the human race is not doing a bang up job in the whole "respect for the other" category, but I can't imagine existing in a social world with literal NPCs as participants is going to move us in a good direction there

Ok, but when will the Wait Wait Conclave meet to decide on the new scorekeeper? When will the white puff of smoke tell us who's voice we can now win on our answering machine?

Chance continues to rise that within five years we all need some kind of biometric crypto certificate to prove we are human online... And that the cops get the right to spoof them with a court order
