Maximum Overdrive. Yes the concept is laughable. But one dude gets attacked by a soda machine and the leader of the machines is a Semi with the Green Goblin's face on it. How can you not love that?

As somebody who travels the country for work, I'm well aware that if things don't turn around that may no longer be possible in the near future. This is just one example.

ECCC was fun and I had a wonderful time.
But there was a storm cloud. When I complained about Trump with my white straight cis friends, we were all sincere and concerned.
But I talked with many Trans friends, and itβs so much worse. They are in fear for their lives.

Thank you for always listening to us and being the very definition of an ally, Gail. When I tell people I had to flee Missouri for the relative safety of Washington they think I'm being melodramatic. Then I point to the things happening back there and...we're scared y'all, and for good reason
Galaxy: As the World Falls Down cover by Rye Hickman Galaxy soars into space, a constellation of stars ahead of her

I'm a public historian educating on Japan via my podcast #FridayNightHistory anchor.fm/fridaynighth... I am also an author of trans sapphic cyberpunk, and you can find my most recent book here bookshop.org/p/books/conf...
What meager living I make is thanks to my patrons:
Iβm a trans author whoβs been building an entire trans-centric queer magical girl universe centered on Portland, OR. My gals are in their 20s and the series deals with applying the feelings and lessons of the genre to adult life. Thereβs a lot of monster punching and gay feelings. π₯Ή magicariot.com
youβre the best Gail
my wife and i have a live performance of our cyberpunk pilot ROBO WAITRESS ASSASSINS coming up with a trans cast, live streamed so folks can watch from anywhere!
it about how society controls bodily autonomy, and pits us against each other to keep us from rising up
So please, if you can, Iβd love to have this thread list pro-Trans everything. Creators, craftspeople, writers, artists, activistsβ¦if you or someone you know deserves some celebrating, bring it the fuck on, okay?
Post links if you can.
Buy stuff if you can.
They hate when people stand up.
What's that quote? I knew one day I'd have to watch powerful men destroy the world, I just didn't think they'd be such losers.
Medical transition for trans kids is now banned for new referrals on the NHS. Trans kids in the UK can still go private or DIY (for now).
This means the new clinics that replaced GIDS are close to useless at best, conversion therapy at worst. 1/5
This. Y'all need to earn our trust back by doing the work.
You know, if you've finally left MAGA congratulations for finally seeing what the rest of us saw in 2016 or earlier. But you can't expect to just be immediately forgiven and welcomed with open arms. You have to put in the work. And expect some I told you so because we were the victims of this shit
I have made absolutely no secret of my contempt for the people who voted for this insanity. But hey, let me say it again! Y'all suck. And blow. Somehow you both suck and blow.
I am definitely Team Gail. We should get shirts made.
What? That's why I DO follow you!
That's what I'm saying. Assuming there is a regime change, surely they can find somebody there who can rally the people better than the descendent of a former US puppet
These are all pictures from the rally. They are holding Iranian flags as well as Israel and the US. and somebody is holding a picture of exiled King Reza Pahlavi
A rally of Iranian ex pays at the Central Station in Hannover Germany. I gathered they're really happy that the Ayatollah is dead. And fair enough I suppose, he was a murderous dictator. Just proof that nothing is black and white. Let's see how they feel as this goes on.
*support not supposed.
This doesn't mean I in any way supposed the unilateral actions of my government here. They also might consider that a descendent of the Shah might not be their best bet considering we installed him in the first place and started this whole mess.

Democrats should say that Trumpβs attacks on Iran are unconstitutional.
The American people do not want a war in Iran. The Congress did not authorize a war in Iran. It is an entirely illegitimate action that has no legal or constitutional basis. It is the act of a lawless regime.
Hey bros, Zack Snyder loves James Gunn's Superman. Can you please just STFU now?

You know I've now lesbianly bought several pairs of combat boots of various brands, and I'm convinced that Doc Martens are overpriced, uncomfortable and overrated. But y'all aren't ready to talk about that.
Trans people fucking rule and you can get fucked if you disagree.
This time they're starting with Hypno-Hustler
What else is there to say about it?
That was really beautiful, thank you for sharing it. Congratulations! Back on the bird site you were one of the people I looked at with admiration for living your truth and still being an awesome geek when I was still hiding in my shell. Almost 3 yrs into my journey I love seeing you thriving! π
This comic was so so so important to me when I first read it what? Maybe 8 years ago? The amount of times I read it just to feel hopeβ¦to many to count
And now here we are, celebrating 6 years on estrogen tomorrow, and we still fucking LOVE dinosaurs β€οΈ
One of my favorite pieces of trans art ever π³οΈββ§οΈ
Panel 19: The woman settles the stuffed Apatosaurus back on the child. She says, "You're actually going to wind up liking green beans, if they're not canned. Mushrooms, too." Panel 20: Close up on the child, who appears to still be sleeping, their hand close to their chin. More dialog from the woman: "You're going to be happy, in your own strange way." Panel 21: Close up on the woman's hands, half-covered by the green coat's sleeves, but with fingers laced uncomfortably. She says, "Even with all that, our secret is just going to keep on hurting, until the day comes when it just hurts too much to keep it anymore." Panel 22: Close up on the woman's face, which looks pained. She is pressing the fingers of her left hand hard against her cheek. Panel 23: We see through the window, which shows the same field of night sky as the first panel. The woman continues speaking. "But it doesn't get us," she says. "We are SO incredibly lucky."
Panel 24: A picture of a family of eight grouped together, except for a boy off to the side. The text reads: Families can be together forever, draw your family. The woman says, "And, oh, sweetie, they love us." Panel 25: The woman, in profile, smiling. She says, "We finally get to tell them who we are, and they still love us, so, so much." Panel 26: We see the earth, with the sun breaking over the edge of the atmosphere. The woman says, "And the weight, it just... it just falls off, and the world is just waiting there for us. I don't have the words to tell you how beautiful it is." Panel 27: Back to the room. The woman is still sitting on the edge of the bed, looking on towards the child's still form. She says, "So... I guess I just wanted to come here to say 'thank you'." Panel 28: Just dialog. "Thank you for carrying that weight. For being so strong, and so brave for so very long. Thank you for sticking around long enough for me to finally get here. I'm sorry it took me so long."
Panel 29: The woman stands, looking back at the child. Panel 30: The child, eyes still shut in seeming sleep, says, "Do we still like dinosaurs?" Panel 31: The woman gives a gentle smirk. looking down. Panel 32: We see the woman with her hand in her open duffle bag, fishing around for something. Panel 33: The woman pulls free a stuffed dinosaur. Panel 34: A shot of the child in bed, eyes still closed. The woman stands next to the bed, holding the dinosaur she has pulled from the duffle bag in one hand.
Panel 35: White txt on a black background, which reads, "Thank you for waiting." "I love you." Panel 36: We see the child in bed again, the dinosaur from the woman's duffle bag in their hand. Another sliver of light falls over them, as if from an open door. Panel 37: The child is still in bed, and the room is dark again. The dinosaur from the woman is gone.
This probably won't find anywhere near the audience it found on Twitter. It was kind of the perfect moment for it, nearly 6 years ago, and it really lucked out to find its place.
But I'll be happy if it finds even one more friend.
Remember to be kind to who you were, and who you are becoming.
