one of the worst developments of the short-form video era is the guy that reposts someone else's video but films themselves reacting to it. shut the fuck up. I can figure out when to laugh by myself
Went to order BlackBerry from Vinegar Syndrome the other day, saw it was sold out and got bummed out... Then today I got an email that my order from Vinegar Syndrome was on its way. Completely forgot I already ordered it

Saw Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie again. Even better the second time! Super impressive from a filmmaking standpoint with regards to shooting in public. Love the rapport between Matt and Jay.

A screenshot of Resident Evil 7. A boardwalk extends into the darkness of a spooky swamp at night.
A screenshot of the game Control. A large, geometric valley with mining equipment and floodlights. Known as the Black Rock Quarry.
I might be a weirdo but I really like chill but spooky spots. Resident Evil 7 had a lot of good spots but my favorite was the boardwalk outside the old house leading to the boat house.
In Control, the entrance to the Black Rock quarry fit the bill quite nicely. Crazy view but a laid back atmosphere
Something I've had fun with while playing games lately is finding good smoke spots within the worlds on display. Inspired by "Top 10 Smoke Spots in Dark Souls" by god_likemike on Youtube (www.youtube.com/watch?v=uozz...), I just look for spots that are out of the way but scenic and chill.

I beat Resident Evil 7 the other day. I had a great time, very scary and looks amazing still. Also, it's awesome that it's only like 10 hours long.

My only other oscar nomination takes are that Jesse Plemons should have gotten a best actor nomination for Bugonia and F1 should not have been nominated for Best Picture.
I really liked NIN's Tron Ares score too but I kind of expected them not to recognize it. But Marty Supreme's score seemed like a no Brainer.
Daniel Lopatin snubbed for the best score nomination, you Hate to see it

Top 10 movies I saw in a theater this year in order of when I saw them:
Dog Man
Sinners
Mission Impossible -- The Final Reckoning
Friendship
Weapons
The Naked Gun
One Battle After Another
Bugonia
Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie
Marty Supreme
I also really liked the Tron: Ares score by NIN. Felt very suited to the world and aesthetic. They bounce between atmospheric and groovy...... cool.
Also shouts out to the music in Dog Man, Friendship, Weapons, and Black Phone 2.
Marty Supreme best score of the year, but I kinda knew that was gonna be the case. I always love Daniel Lopatin's choices of sounds, the kitschy synths and samples mixed with orchestration and choral grunts ... hell yeah brother.
I saw 47 movies in theaters this year
