King of hearts
i fear this is so incredibly relatable π
i'm working on a game aimed at a younger audience that uses pre-gen characters. and trying to make the characters diverse enough that the kids will be able to see themselves in their characters really does trigger that paranoia of "trying too hard"
so gorgeous!
A dark grey and gold cover with a hexagon border in the middle and a symmetrical illustration around it with swirls and swords.
A gold border and 7 black and white page divider illustrations to match a cover illustration.
Please pretend there's a witty caption here telling you about this freebie you can find in my ko-fi library.
Thank you for your cooperation π

olofahere Do not punish the behaviour you want to see I mean, it seems pretty obvious when you put it like that, right? But how many families, when an introvert sibling or child makes an effort to socialize, snarkily say, "So, you've decided to join us"? Or when someone does something they've had trouble doing, say, "Why can't you do that all the time?" (Happened to me, too often.) Or any sentence containing the word "finally". If someone makes a step, a small step, in a direction you want to encourage, encourage it. Don't complain about how it's not enough. Don't bring up previous stuff. Encourage it. Because I swear to f cking god there is nothing more soul-killing, more motivation-crushing, than struggling to succeed and finding out that success and failure are both punished.
Goes without saying but especially in ttrpgs, if you see folks doing the stuff you'd like them to do in games
Be it roleplaying serious moments/coming out of their shell, deferring to others so they have a chance, teaming up or heck even trying out new methods of problem solving
Reward that!
my mom taught me there's two kinds of businesses: hot dog stands and art galleries
- hot dog stands protect territory and keep competition off their turf
- art galleries benefit from more adjacent art galleries, cluster together to amplify reach/support
youre an art gallery, not a hot dog stand

Revenge of the Mixtape Jam is live! Would love to see some 5-song dungeons and some of the other brilliant hacks people have been sharing with me up there.

Actually play is like porn:
-Consent and communication prior to recording is paramount
-the best moments tend to be unscripted or from home videos
-You can always tell who's actually having a good time and who's faking it for the camera
-best when there's at least one bear involved
big fan of bone/flesh/blood related elements! ATLA blood bending changed my brain chemistry as a child i fear

Hi #Selfpromosaturday! I'm a collage halftone artist looking for work.
so excited to finally hear y'all play! thanks again for playing my game :) everyone should go check these guys out immediately, their stuff is awesome π
if any of that sounds cool, you should check out Precognition and join me for one of my games!
tabletop.events/conventions/...
then i'll also be running The Mystery of the Genziana Hotel, which is using The Girls of the Genziana Hotel system!
this game is all about feminine horror, pain and rebellion. one of your fellow maids has gone missing, and it's up to you to find her. no one else will help her, after all.
(3/4)
the first game i'll be running is titled A Party at the End of the World (with my system WHAT TIME WE HAVE LEFT)
with the world ending tonight, will your cast of plucky, drunk teenagers be able to complete their bucket lists before it comes? or will they end up like everyone else?
(2/4)
any other TTRPG fans looking for some new games should join me at the #Precognition convention this weekend! it's got 3 days of really cool indie games, over 50 in total, run by a bunch of awesome creators and GMs.
and you can try out some of my games!

my enemies all deal poison damage i fear π but i might be in need of a graphic designer at some point... π
Table of contents for the game OMEN. Grey and red stripes decorate the page with the titles for each section.
A 3D render of a spread from wolves at the lake. There's a zine and 2 red die on dark wooden planks.
A spread from a feast for a sphinx. It depicts a centipede person holding an obsidian spearhead, along with the descriptions of said weapon and the rooms 7 and 8. The colors red and gold adorn the white page.
A spread from the goblin mail extras zine. Showing two characters, a mail goblin and a robot made out of mail. The art is black and white and features halftone pictures of stamps.
Hey gamers, Luna here. I'm a graphic designer for ttrpgs, you can hire me to make your zines cooler, or to kill your enemies with my mind. Unless they deal poison damage, then I'm out. Anyways, you want this. Yes?
Yo! This City Hates You is part of a fundraising bundle for the Kanak people! We're fundraising to help them with basic necessities like food and other supplies. We've got 20 days left, and we're at $415 out of a goal of $1000!

i didn't realize NIGHTHAWKS got a critique, it's like my first ever graphic design project lol. as always, Aaron recognizes what's special about the game, and how the art outside the rules text screams as it tries to touch you through the page.
i will continue to produce RPG books that are poems
I'll end this with a challenge:
If you find yourself saying something is "lazy game design", stop and instead try to specifically describe what is wrong with the game. Why isn't working for you? What did you want to see instead?
Try it!
just learned an important lesson: re-read everything 5 times before you submit anything anywhere
(i already knew this lesson)
(i forgot)
(had to set up outlook on my shitty laptop to fix the mistake)
(very bad time all around)
(hopefully will be fixed ASAP)
(can you tell i just ran my game for the first time and am having Feelings about playing a game custom-made for my preferences with a group of people i really care about?)
