Yeah our 30th anniversary is in June. I was considering convincing the airplane obsessed husband to do the TWA hotel in NY, but it’s rapidly looking really unrealistic. I was willing to spend some $$ (30 years is a big deal) but nothing bonkers.

My sons are currently pretending not to see the text message of me demanding to know which of these young men chose to eat the last of MY Tate’s cookies. Never mind the 8000 treats & snacks they ARE welcome to. This is why hamsters eat their young.

I have a little bit of hyper mobility & this was one of the “signs.” I also have really curved hitchhiker thumbs & until I broke my wrist at 39, used to be able to touch my thumb to my inner forearm with almost no effort. Pretty much the elbow thing was a “oh also look out for…” not a whole dx

Mistakes still have consequences & accountability. Has it ever occurred to you that accountability might be GOOD for these kids & give them a place to put their regret & guilt & be able to learn & do better later?

I mean that was his entire arc in The Morning Show (which is my guilty pleasure show.)

He was really good in The Four Seasons.

We were set on getting MATCHING appliances & that all hinged on the dishwasher.

When we were buying our kitchen appliances, the sales guy explained they’re pretty good appliances, there just aren’t enough service techs so when there’s an issue they’re hard to fix. They didn’t make the half sized dishwasher we needed so they weren’t a factor for our kitchen.

My parents were more surviving that having a parenting style, but yeah. It was a weird time.

The joy of Catholic school was very limited PE. Like once a week. I was spared this. We did a weigh in once but it was private.

They were already on our probably not list because they don’t have a lot of certified techs in our area which would make it hard when we need service. I WANT a speed queen but my budget says no.

I was seriously parentified so I over corrected & now just resent that no one helps me even though I wouldn’t let anyone help me. GenX may be the “just can’t win” generation.

In Chicago. The hot dog joint Portillos makes this amazing chopped salad that I legit CRAVE. It’s got pastini & chicken & bacon & blue cheese with the veggies & the dressing is incredible and now I want it again!
