One bat, two bats, three bats🦇 - Bat census 2026 in Salpalinja Finland.
It was definitely a challenging weekend with deep snow and some flooded/frozen bunkers, but we still managed to find many different species of bats, a couple of sleepy toads and lots of icy artwork
I had the pleasure to introduce my MSc project on toad genetics and infectious disease at our internal conference Revolution 2025 at @animecol-uu.bsky.social . This was the first year that master students were allowed to present and we definitely showed the strong potential in all of us.
