Linguists start compiling first ever complete dictionary of ancient Celtic
Had great fun talking yesterday about languages, politics and Celticity of Interceltique de Lorient in our seminar. This year's experience was amazing!

Today our students had to endure the tortures of defining 'Celtic' - and having mentioned Celtic crosses, I went out later to search for a Celtic cross in the cemetery across the road from my office. And there it was, quite impressive - dedicated to a well-known Irishman of the 19th century
Heuneburg field trip with our students. Sooo impressive!

Am ddridiau arbennig – llawn o ddysg, dathlu a chofio, a llawer o hwyl! Diolch i bawb yn @yganolfangeltaidd.bsky.social – a phen blwydd happys/hapus! Three glorious days – full of learning, celebration and remembering, and lots of fun! Huge thanks to all at the Canolfan and many happy returns!
I could not resist the temptation to co-organize a workshop at the Freie Universität, even if doing so less than in a week after the conference in Bonn is a clear symptom of madness. And I really loved it – but it had to be a very short visit, so no interaction beside that with colleagues and a cat
It was a pleasure having you with us, dear Christian! I have learnt a lot!
Grmma!
We have missed you!
Also feeling thankful and honoured to serve as the new president of the Societas Celtologica Europaea. Pictures and more coherent words to follow ;)
Still struggling to find coherent words to report about the Fourth European Symposium in Celtic Studies - meanwhile only endless gratitude to the team, thankfulness to all the colleagues who came and made it such a wonderful new milestone in the history of Celtic Studies in Bonn!
Congratulations!
Breaking news! @ninacnock.bsky.social just won the Johann-Kaspar-Zeuß-Price of the Societas Celtologica Europaea for the best PhD thesis! Congratulations!
