Pete Hegseth is openly calling on Trump-friendly oligarchs to take over the media while unshackling the military from the "rules of engagement" he hates so much. What he really wants is a world in which horrors like the school bombing don't ever fully come to light.

Brendan Carr tweet: Broadcasters that are running hoaxes and news distortions - also known as the fake news - have a chance now to correct course before their license renewals come up.

The law is clear. Broadcasters must operate in the public interest, and they will lose their licenses if they do not.

And frankly, changing course is in their own business interests since trust in legacy media has now fallen to an all time low of just 9% and are ratings disasters.

The American people have subsidized broadcasters to the tune of billions of dollars by providing free access to the nation’s airwaves.

It is very important to bring trust back into media, which has earned itself the label of fake news.

When a political candidate is able to win a landslide election victory after in the face of hoaxes and distortions, there is something very wrong. It means the public has lost faith and confidence in the media. And we can’t allow that to happen.

Time for change!

Trump "Truth":

Yet again, an intentionally misleading headline by the Fake News Media about the five tanker planes that were supposedly struck down at an Airport in Saudi Arabia, and of no further use. In actuality, the Base was hit a few days ago, but the planes were not β€œstruck” or β€œdestroyed.” Four of the five had virtually no damage, and are already back in service. One had slightly more damage, but will be in the air shortly. None were destroyed, or close to that, as the Fake News said in headlines. The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal (in particular), and other Lowlife β€œPapers” and Media actually want us to lose the War. Their terrible reporting is the exact opposite of the actual facts! They are truly sick and demented people that have no idea the damage they cause the United States of America. Fortunately, as proven by our Great and Conclusive Election Win in 2024, the People of our Country understand what is happening far better than the Fake News Media! President DONALD J. TRUMP

FCC to journalists: cover the Iran war the way the president prefers or lose your broadcast license.

A federal judge just called out the DOJ for politically motivated prosecutions The Justice Department's sullied reputation is finally catching up to it.

This was always going to happen: Trump, and the Supreme Court, turned DOJ into an extension of the president's will. Now, judges trust DOJ about as far as they can throw it.

The immunity decision and unitary executive theory breed corruption and ineffectiveness.

This is the f’ing way. Every one of the those wrongly detained should be suing the federal government, as well as individual members of the administration by name. It’s one of the only major avenues of recourse that might affect change in the admin’s behavior.

Just got back from a fundraiser for my kids’ elementary school where they were trying to raise $300,000 to make up for district cuts to their budget for frivolous things like art, science, and field trips.

Just wanna say it’s a national disgrace that we have billions for bombs but not for schools.

how ironic to see the state protect two people who sought to strip the state while working under the direction of elon musk, who has made it impossible to seek recourse when people get death threats and harassment on twitter

A striking feature of Trump and his team is: they somehow imagine a world in which they are the only actors, only ones with power, and whether it's Tehran or Minneapolis are surprised when it turns out others do. There are many kinds of power and many nations with power.

According to White House sources, the confrontation began shortly after the 84-year-old former Senate Republican leader entered the Oval Office, looked around the room, and commented, β€œLooks like we’re early for the Easter service.”
