All right, I have something down. It is within the word count limit. It does not involve flaming boulders. Does that mean it is good? I am going to let Future Catherine make that call tomorrow. I am done looking at this story for today.

Always have a wizard at the ready.
Words to live by.
See, this is why I should always add a character with that capability. Massive oversight on my part.
I have been editing the same 200 words of this story ending for hours, but I cannot seem to land this plane! I am two seconds away from just typing, "and then flaming boulders fell from the sky and wiped out everything, the end."
This is surreal, but we're open to submissions in 23 days. Not an April Fool.

When therapy wasn't covered by my insurance, I stopped going because I knew adding financial peril to the mix would be worse for my depression than me going untreated. That's a calculation I have to make for a lot of healthcare, unfortunately.
It's a new story day!!!
I am so delighted to share one of the first horror stories I ever wrote and my love letter to survival horror video games, alt format prose, and fanfiction (you know, if love were expressed as scary, gory, meta stories about stories about stories).
See you in the fic!
So thrilled to have this out in the world now! Thank you!
Lovely shout-out for my horror as comfort essay over at Adventitious as issue two prepares to be released! Thank you!
Check out the peace found in horror and get a look at the upcoming issue two!
Thanks for the shout-out! Happy to hear others find comfort in horror as well. I'm looking forward to issue 2!

Her sections were my fave for both story and gameplay. I want an entire game of my poor anxious girl kicking ass as best she can!
This chart also applies to writing fiction, FYI.
Here at Plott Hound Magazine, we want stories that really dig deep into what itβs like to be an animal and also teach us what it means to be human.
If you write scifi, fantasy, or speculative horror and have a piece that fits our vision, consider sending it our way! We close in 10 days.
