So cute!
A few thoughts in honor of IWD.
Iceland or cowboy country? I’d say that about 95% of the time power lines are the bane of a photographer’s existence - but - once every so often they actually contribute. One thing you definitely notice is who has above vs underground powerlines. #iceland April, 2025.
Beautiful series.
A little human light painting in motion beneath the dancing tapestry of the stars | #iceland April, 2025
Oh yes! Such a good point - it really is amazing - especially with a little patience!
When I’m out photographing a beautiful place, it’s always fun to approach small pools, puddles or lakes and think of them as small frames. Little mirrors which can be used to reflect and explore the beauty of a place from a new perspective. #iceland, April, 2025.
I call this one - the excited whale - still amazed it had not calved off or flipped into the lagoon. #iceland April, 2025.
What do you see? For me - it’s a starship. Absolutely a big ol ice spaceship. Iceland, April, 2025.
The subtle glow of distant suns viewed through the illumination of a celestial storm - yes please! #Iceland | April, 2025.
This photo reminds me of being a child visiting the ocean. That moment where we would take goggles or a clear container and submerge it in the water using it as a portal to see and explore all the wonders that were below the frothy turmoil of the waves. Iceland | April 2025.
Fun little paper we published last month got picked up by earth.com. The author got it mostly right. There was no press release so he seemed to go above and beyond and read the paper and some citations in it and used references. Nice work. #scicomm 🧪 www.earth.com/news/antarct...
Iceland 🤷♂️
The beauty of small pieces of glacier washed ashore on an incredible black sand beach is that each is like a little snowflake. Unique - and even better - constantly changing. Iceland | April 2025 | #sonyalpha #flickrfeature #longexposure
Copenhagen city hall is a beautiful powerful building. They recently renovated the clock tower and I loved the mixture of stars, light, and tower while out taking photos. Not my usual composition, but too fun not to share. #copenhagen #visitcopenhagen #sonyalpha
Copenhagen glimpses | February
Christiansborg here in Copenhagen. The light festival has a beautiful exhibit this year. To showcase it I wanted to try for an unusual composition. Love the random satellite / meteor that photobombed me. #Copenhagen #SonyAlpha
First 3 Episodes of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms have been absolute brilliant. House of the Dragon was such a disappointment I've not even bothered finishing season 1 despite multiple attempts. Huge kudos to the KotSK team if they keep this up. @hbo.bsky.social
It was brutally cold and I wasn’t fully dressed for the -17C windchill, but the view was fantastic. Here’s an image of Christiansborg (Danish Parliament) from this evening. Fresh out of the camera. #sonyalpha #visitcopenhagen #visitdenmark #nationalgeographic
Mom just shared this from my red (purple?) town in Arizona. Gives me so much hope and pride.

For some reason when I look at this photo, all I can see is a giant ice seal 🦭 on its side, waving its flipper at me. Can you see it? It’s one of the fun things about looking at glaciers for me - it’s like finding shapes in the clouds, and the longer you look the more they come to life. #iceland
A long shot across the lagoon to the glacier - I just loved the variety of textures and shapes and the sense of flow. This is from near Diamond Beach in Iceland | April, 2025. Taken at 400mm on my @sonyalpha A7rV.
Thank you! You summed up the feeling wonderfully - so glad that came through!
Thanks!
How magnificent must their view have been? Iceland | April, 2025
Have the same issue on my IG. Utterly kills actual engagement.
Gorgeous images - keep them coming for the rest of us :)
Thanks! It was so lovely. One of those where you're looking one way...then glance over your shoulder and suddenly realize you're missing the main event.
The Photographer - love this silhouette of an unknown fellow photographer enjoying the beauty of Stokksnes / Vestrahorn in Iceland at sunset. This image is from April 2, 2025. Was it you? It would be fun to find the photographer :)
