This week a bunch of people have been giving maximum effort in putting the dense in estadounidense.
We have no official language designated by federal law or the US Constitution, despite the presidentโs executive order โ 14224.
Is it โAmericanโ to want to force assimilation? People have the right to free speech and a right of association.
This country has a long history of non-English songs (many in Spanish) achieving widespread popularity, including โVolare,โ โGangnam Style,โ โRock Me Amadeus,โ โFeliz Navidad,โ โDominique,โ โSukiyaki,โ โGuantanamera,โ โLa Bambaโ โ99 Luftballonsโ plus the bilingual โRico Suaveโ & โThe Ketchup Song.โ
I listen to plenty of Spanish, Israeli, Japanese and Brazilian music and I donโt get every word, but that doesnโt prevent my enjoyment.
Bad Bunny has had 13 top 10 songs over the past seven or so years and has now performed at two Super Bowls. Is it music I normally listen to? No, but obviously a lot of people are in to it and most Super Bowl halftime shows have had music Iโm not into. ๐งต
When anyone from SCTV dies itโs like 30 people have died. Every character they created was as alive as anyone else youโve ever met.

A 1957 Christmas ad promoting musical instruments for sale at Minns of Bournemouth, where the guitar was originally purchased.
Adjusted for inflation, ยฃ4 would now be about ยฃ82. The ad was later run in the correct section (pic โ 2) where you will also see an ad from Frippโs guitar teacher Don Strike with stringed instruments for sale ( and repair), in the same section.
An ad for a used guitar is curiously placed in the middle of ad for nurses in the Bournemouth Daily Echo in December 1958.
Twelve-year-old Robert Fripp of Wimborne Minster, UK is selling his very first guitar, an Egmond Frรจres, a Christmas gift from the previous year.

Mary vs Whoโs That Girl
โA woman framed for murder, a yuppie lawyer with a socialite fiance, and a mountain lion loose in Manhattan cause havoc in a screwball comedy that maybe needed a couple of rewrites, but ultimately is some pretty mindless fun.โ
