Again, magic means are avoided for grinding, however, heavier, if still delicate machines can be used here, usually they provide the power for the grinding mechanisms. An exception sometimes are barrels made of enchanted/magic wood, to enhance the flavour/traits of the lake-berries.

The majority of the harvest is ground down into a must. Depending on the desired type of the final jam/jelly/juice, sometimes the skin and/or the seeds are removed before grinding them. The must is not stored for long though, usually processed further on site, or quickly transported elsewhere

... but this might have been a field-test for some industrial sabotage. This curse itself never spread far enough to affect lake-berry production, but as water is a good arcane medium, this curse would have made most lakes unusable quickly.

However, there was an incident at a smaller orchard, which became afflicted with a curse, slowly turning the area into a contaminated tarpit, mutating and twisting the plants, if not stopped in time. A cursebreaker was sent to remedy this and succesful. The culprit was never found...

It is still impressive to look at; Enscharys' empathic field will nudge you gently to lend a hand when you watch a night-harvest.

It depends on the local customs. As Enscharys does not have strong seasonal changes, harvesting periods are arbitrary, so each region has their own traditions, and thus may have local celebrations after a harvest indeed.

Lake-Berries are quite a renewable resource, the seeds are seperated from the must and used for replanting them in the lakes, or, some lake-berries are left to spread on their own. Also, Enscharys does not have many seasonal effects, thus no dedicated harvesting period.

Cursebreakers generally are well-versed in herbalism as well, often using self-made concoctions, tinctures, elixirs, salves, infusions, and incenses to aid their cause. And Nox needed a lot of this knowledge for this assignment indeed, overall it took weeks for them to list the curse.

Nox helped lifting a curse from an enscharyan orchard, which would have slowly turned all the trees into tar-oozing abominations otherwise. This involved a lot of tuning into the plants' arcane auras, as well as concocting enchanted fertilizers.

Other than that, there is a big variety of plants and fruits that are grown in an agricultural scale, many of them have been modified by now to support vertical farming better, especially in high-tech regions running out of space. Traditional agriculture is still quite dominant nonetheless.

Smaller lake-berry producers with more natural lakes often use the "Night-harvest" - strategy. Using the glow of the berries in the night makes them easier to locate and thus harvest, when using simpler tools to fetch them out of the water. It is both a impressive sight and hard work.

Perhaps the most advances harvesting vehicle is a manually operated paddle-wheeler, the wheels both propulsion and harvesters for the lake-berries, automatically letting them slide into the boats storage. But this boat requires the berries to be carefully planted in lanes.

Harvesting lake-berries remains a somewhat manual process, despite numerous boat-mounted mechanical contraptions in use to make the harvest easier. Still, as magic and heavy machinery is avoided, specialized rowing boats are in use.

At the same time, many plants in there are also very toxic, in addition of having peculiar/dangerous magic traits. Being injured in such a jungle can make your very sick very fast; in theory you can find antidotes in there too, but that requires a lot of herbalist-knowledge.
