Royal National Mòd's choir contests unchanged for Glasgow 2026 There were plans to relax some of the rules around one of the event's most popular competitions - but this has been abandoned.

Naidheachd brònach - disappointing that we can't expand and develop choral performance at the Mòd. Protecting tradition is very important, but so is ensuring culture and language develop and stay relevant. There is space for both.
