a smiling wrestler, with text that reads "being glad winter is over and i don't have to goop myself up right out of the shower anymore". behind him, a larger, more menacing wrestler looms, with text that simply says "SUNSCREEN SEASON"
there's no feeling like putting on a pristinely ironed shirt and it immediately wrinkling and bunching like it lived on the floor for 27 years
aww, what a sweet face! i'm so sorry for your loss. no matter how much time we get with them, it's never enough
turns out you have a lot more time for tv when everything shuts down for a few months
if it's any consolation, i didn't start watching until season 6 or 7 and my sister is part of the production team, haha

A 1944 map by geologist Harold Fisk charts a 40-mile stretch of the Mississippi River from Friars Point to Gunnison, Mississippi. also it's extremely funny to learn that talking to kids about overwatch is a universal experience in getting burned. i presented some research on toxicity in OW to some high school kids as an example of things you can study in university, and one piped up "that was your first mistake. logging on"
the latest episode with @chriskindred.com is incredibly cool, and really hammers home how important having hobbies that aren't just playing games are to making games and talking about them. if you wanna make rich games, you gotta start DJing, gardening, knitting, organizing, reading, etc. etc.
if you're not listening to paper labyrinths with @nictringali.bsky.social and @brendanmcleod.com you're missing out. consistently thought provoking, and one of the only game design spaces i've found that doesn't make it feel hopeless to want to make games after 40
Both showers and public transit rides have 3x multipliers to Thinking Time. You'd think stationary bikes would be too because they're both moving and mindless but actually they're 0.5x at best. Long flights have 10x to Thinking Time but only if you're in the sweet spot of tired but not TOO tired
